GUI Overview
WSi's interface is organised around a set of dockable panels that you can show, hide, and rearrange. The panels are accessible via the Windows menu.
Views and Panels
WSi has the following panels:
| Panel | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Tree View | Hierarchical list of articles and work steps — the main navigation panel |
| Graph View | Visual representation of the part geometry and manufacturing graph |
| Details | Detailed information about the selected article or work step |
| Cost Analysis | Project-level cost breakdown across all articles and work steps |
| Filter | Text and graphical filters to narrow down articles in the tree |
| Messages | Log of events, warnings, and errors |
| Console | Developer console for advanced diagnostics |
| Assembly View | 3D preview of the assembled part |
| 3D Input | Raw 3D input geometry preview |
| 3D Output | Generated 3D output geometry |
| 2D Output | 2D drawing output (DXF, SVG) |
| 2D Details | Additional 2D scene views |
Not all panels are visible at once — some appear only when relevant features are enabled.
Showing and Hiding Panels
Click Windows in the menu bar to see a list of all panels. Each panel has a checkmark next to it when it is visible. Click a panel name to toggle its visibility. See the Window Menu page for details on all available panels, default layout, and how to reset the arrangement.
Panels can be docked on the left, right, or bottom of the window, and can be tabbed together. Drag a panel's title bar to reposition it.
TIP
If you lose track of a panel, open the Windows menu and click its name to bring it back into view.
