3D Input View

The 3D Input View shows the raw 3D geometry as it was imported from your source files (STEP, WSi, and other supported formats). It displays each article's geometry independently, before any manufacturing operations have been applied.

What it displays

The view renders the original 3D models exactly as they arrived from the import pipeline. This is the geometry that WSi uses as the starting point for all subsequent processing — cutting, bending, welding, and so on.

Use this view to verify that the imported geometry matches what you expect from the source files. If a part looks wrong here, the issue is with the source file rather than with WSi's processing.

  • Assembly View — shows the fully assembled geometry with all parts combined.
  • 3D Output View — shows the geometry after manufacturing operations have been applied.

Conditional Availability

The 3D Input View is only shown when 3D views are enabled in your licence. If you do not see the panel, check the Window menu to confirm it is available.
