2D Output View
The 2D Output View displays the 2D drawing output generated after all manufacturing operations have been applied. It shows cutting paths, bend zones, and other 2D representations of the processed geometry.
What it displays
The view renders 2D scenes that represent the geometry after processing — for example, a flat pattern after bending operations, or the final cutting contours after all cuts have been applied. Each scene is scaled independently so you can inspect details at the appropriate zoom level.
Use this view to verify the 2D output before exporting to DXF or SVG for use with CAM systems or for documentation.
Interacting with the View
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Rotate | Left-click and drag (2D rotation) |
| Pan | Middle-click and drag, or drag on empty space |
| Zoom | Scroll the mouse wheel |
| Measure distance | Use the measure tool |
| Deselect all | Click empty space |
Additional 2D Scenes
Depending on the processes in your project, the view may show multiple scenes:
- Default scenes — the primary 2D output for each article.
- Bend zone scenes — detailed views of bend zones for bending operations.
- Lower die affect zone scenes — views showing the area affected by the lower die.
- Tube outline scenes — cross-section outlines for tube cutting.
- Sheet cutting tool scenes — tool paths for sheet cutting operations.
- Cut order scenes — the sequence of cuts for tube cutting.
These additional scenes appear when relevant processes are active in your project.
Relationship to Other Views
- 2D Geometry Editor — where you edit the input geometry before processing.
- 3D Output View — the 3D equivalent of this view.
Conditional Availability
The 2D Output View is only shown when 2D views are enabled in your licence. If you do not see the panel, check the Window menu to confirm it is available.
