2D Details Panel
The 2D Details panel shows detailed information about selected 2D geometry — dimensions, contour properties, and nesting statistics.
The 2D Details panel shows additional 2D technical drawings associated with the currently selected workstep node — such as dimensioned views, nest layouts, or process-specific drawings. It updates automatically when you select a different node in the Tree View or Graph View.
Unlike the 2D Output panel which shows the primary 2D representation of the part, the 2D Details panel can display multiple scenes and annotations in a single view.
When to Use
Open the 2D Details panel when you need to:
- View supplementary technical drawings attached to a workstep node
- See dimensioned layouts or process-specific drawings alongside the main output
- Access usage information for items in the scene (keyboard shortcuts)
Navigating Scenes
The panel can display multiple scenes. Use the navigation controls at the bottom of the panel:
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Previous | Show the previous scene |
| Next | Show the next scene |
| Hide All | Hide all items in the current scene |
| Show All | Make all items visible |
| Fit All | Zoom and pan so all items fit in the view |
The panel shows which scene you are viewing (e.g. "2 / 5") and updates when you select a different workstep node.
Usage Information
Items in a 2D Details scene may have keyboard shortcuts associated with them. When you hover over or select an item, a usage info bar appears at the bottom of the panel showing the available shortcuts.
